The playground opened last year and was built in cooperation with KaBoom!, Morgan Stanley, the Yonkers Board of Education, and Yonkers CAP.
The anniversary celebration begins at 10 a.m. at the playground at 53 Fairview St., Yonkers. The students have enjoyed their new play area over the past several months.
In addition, the Rotary Club of Yonkers-East Yonkers will be donating another piece of equipment prior to Friday's event.
