This is the second year that Chabad of Yonkers held the workshop.
"The last time we held this event at the Will Library on Central Avenue in Yonkers," said Rabbi Mendy Hurwitz.
Young children and grown adults had a blast learning how to make their own matzoh. Everyone who participated received their very own hat, apron and rolling pin.
Everyone had fun grinding the wheat, kneading the dough, rolling the dough and poking holes in the dough with a fork so that the matzoh doesn't bubble up. The whole process from start to finish is just under 18 minutes.
Chabad of Yonkers also is welcoming the community to their Passover Sedar on April 3 and April 4.
The Passover Sedar will include traditional matzah, wine and kosher food. This is open to everyone regardless of religious affiliation or observance. Chabad will host the Seder at Chabad of Yonkers at Greystone Jewish Center, which is located at 600 North Broadway in Yonkers. Sedar on Friday, April 3 will be at 7:40 p.m. and on Saturday, April 4, will be at 8 p.m.
There is a fee for the sedar, which benefits Chabad of Yonkers. It is $36 for adults and $18 for children.
