The Yonkers Avenue casino’s 2013 Summer Concert Series will kick-off its 14-week schedule of musical trackside performances on June 16 with KC & the Sunshine Band.
The R&B/disco band, known for classic hits like “Get Down Tonight”, “That’s The Way (I Like It)” and “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” are among several well-known names set to take the stage in Yonkers.
Other scheduled performers include county music star LeAnn Rimes, Gavin DeGraw, Smokey Robinson and Kenny Rogers.
Now in its second year, the casino said it has expanded on its inaugural concert series to include more performances as well as additional seating capacity.
Tickets for the June 16 show will go on sale Thursday. Prices start at $15 and can be purchased at www.empirecitycasino.com or by calling eTIX at 1-800-514-3849.
