A tiny dog that was tossed out the window of a car on the Bronx River Parkway near the Westchester/Bronx border and rescued by FDNY firefighters is making a strong recovery.
Sydney, who was taken in by Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, was injured, bleeding and matted — unable to move without much pain. His teeth were rotten and nails were at least an inch long and curled under.
He was rushed to the vet and was found to have no obvious broken bones but suffered painful lacerations.
