Lin-Manuel Miranda Gives Oscar Shout Out To Yonkers Tuxedo Shop

The Oscar red carpet question "Who are you wearing?" has local significance to Actor/Composer/Playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda.

In a New York Times article, the "Hamilton" star gives a shout out to San Marko in Yonkers for the outfit he wore on Sunday to the 89th Academy Awards.

Miranda had been nominated for Best Original Song for “How Far I'll Go" from the movie, "Moana." (He lost to "La La Land's" "City of Stars.")

"I've known Lin-Manuel since he was very young," said Co-Owner Rob Forchetti, "It's been wonderful to follow his success."

Indeed. Manuel confessed that San Marko is where he got his prom tux in 1998.
