The soft-serve treat --it's vegan, dairy-free, cholesterol-free, fat-free, and lactose-free -- is made with all natural colors and is produced in a peanut free facility. It apparently tastes like frozen pineapple.
The ice cream department manager at the Norwalk store recently visited Disneyland and saw a huge line for Dole Whip. He had never heard of it before but stood in line to get a taste.
When he returned from vacation, he made a few calls and voilà – Dole Whip at Stew’s! It will be at the ice cream counter all summer. Customers who spend $100 can get Dole Whip instead of an ice cream cone.
