Mayor Mike Spano cut the ribbon to welcome the new restaurant.
Located in Ridge Hill’s Town Square (between Market and Second streets), the 300-seat restaurant owned by Manhasset restaurateurs the Poll brothers will be open year-round, seven days a week. Long Island brothers and business partners Gillis and George Poll already have six restaurants.
Named after their grandfather, Angelo’s reveals an ambiance and interior that aims to exemplify New York’s “Golden Era” with a blend of rustic styles and Italian grandeur.
Spano and Yonkers Councilman Michael Sabatino each presented a proclamation to Gillis and George Poll, officially welcoming Angelo’s to the Yonkers business community.
Having grown up working in their father’s restaurant, Pappas, of Sheepshead Bay, the brothers have firsthand knowledge of all aspects of running restaurants.
The restaurant will offer four dining areas, with two semiprivate sections for parties of 30-60 people. An open kitchen allows diners to glimpse the chefs at work.
For guests wishing to dine alfresco in the warmer months, French doors open onto an outdoor patio.
George Poll said, “Ridge Hill is the kind of place where people go not only to shop but to dine and be entertained. It’s more like a small town with great shopping and restaurants. It is a perfect opportunity to complement that fun, unique mix. Our menu and interior space are sure to delight the current visitors to Ridge Hill and attract a new following as well.”
