Yonkers Male Glee Club To Perform Carols At Sherwood House

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Members of the Yonkers Male Glee Club will join the Yonkers Historical Society for holiday caroling at Sherwood House on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Prior to the performance, those who attend can partake in a candlelight tour of the historic house. 

Tours and the Yonkers Glee Club performance will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Sherwood House, at 340 Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers, was built about 1740 by Thomas Sherwood on land leased from Frederick Philipse and was purchased in 1801 by Yonkers’ first physician, Dr. John Ingersoll. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
