Friday, Sept. 21

New Era Anime Club: 3:15 p.m. Teens and tweens are invited to discuss and read Manga, watch and talk about Anime, draw, debate, and answer trivia questions. Light snacks provided. Yonkers Riverfront Library, 1 Larkin Center.

Board Games and Video Games: 7 p.m. Enjoy a night in playing some fun games. On the list are: Settlers of Catan, Dark Tower (electronic Fantasy from the early 80s), Street Fighter 4 and whatever else you would like to bring. Address will be sent out to those who RSVP online.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Car Seat Installation Day: 10 a.m. As part of Child Passenger Safety Week, the Yonkers Police Department will host Car Seat Installation Day, assisting residents in securing children properly in the devices. Parents are asked to bring the car seat where trained officers will properly install it in their vehicle. Community Affairs Division Parking lot, opposite 36 Radford St.

Family Art Projects: Make a Portrait with Recycled Materials: 1 p.m. Head to the museum for creative activities for families based on the museum’s exhibitions. On Saturday, make a portrait with recycled materials. Hudson River Museum, 511 Warburton Ave.

L.L. Bean Kayaking Discovery Course: 1 p.m. Try your hand at kayaking with a guided, interpretive tour with all the gear, equipment and expert instruction provided. No experience necessary. Admission is $20 and kayakers must be at least 8 years old. Call 1-800-490-3836 for more details. Westchester’s Ridge Hill Center, 1 Ridge Hill Road.

Sur La Table Date Night: Spain in the Fall: 5 p.m.  Spice up date night by taking your special someone on a culinary voyage to Spain. Work together as you learn to use authentic ingredients and traditional techniques to create a menu of Spanish favorites. Admission is $79 per person. Westchester’s Ridge Hill Center, 1 Ridge Hill Road.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Bicycle Sundays: 10 a.m. Running through six cities and towns including Yonkers, bikers can ride through this 13.1-mile loop. The event has attracted as many as 60,000 participants over the course of its rides in May, June and September. Parking is available at Westchester County Center, 198 Central Park Ave., White Plains.

Art & Science Sundays: Mosaics from Scratch: 2 p.m. The Science Barge’s activity calendar continues with “Mosaics from Scratch.” Science Barge, 99 Dock St.

Public Art Panel: 2 p.m.  Join a discussion with MTA Arts in Transit Manager Katherine Meehan and artists whose work appears in public places— Holly Sears, Joy Taylor, Nancy Blum and Livia Straus, director of the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art. Learn how is art chosen for public spaces or how artists present work for selection. Hudson River Museum, 511 Warburton Ave.
