Capital to Capital Canoe Expedition: 7 p.m. RiverTalks presents an evening with the Capital to Capital Canoe Expedition where you can meet the 10 Canadian and American canoeists who are paddling more than 1,000 miles from Ottawa, Ontario, to Washington, DC, in a 36-foot voyageur canoe. 85th Annual Columbus Day Parade: 2 p.m. Led by grand marshals Annette and Ronald Volino, the Columbus Day Parade will march for the 85th time Sunday. The parade will begin on Yonkers and Seminary avenues and head north on Seminary Avenue to Smart Avenue. From there, marchers will continue along Smart Avenue before making a left onto Midland Avenue, where they will wrap up the parade.
Family Fun Day: Noon. Head to the Hudson River Museum for a day of family gallery tours, face painting, storytelling and a performance inspired by the Museum's fall exhibition: Witness: The Art of Jerry Pinkney. Hudson River Museum, 511 Warburton Ave.
