HarvestFest, a celebration of all things fall at Ridge Hill, will feature seasonal festivities for the entire family to enjoy. Families can rock out after an afternoon of trick-or-treating at Ridge Hill retailers, sampling farm-fresh fall foods and taking part in autumn-inspired activities like mural-painting, face-painting and pumpkin-painting for kids and adults, autumn skin care mini-treatments by Oasis Day Spa and outdoor skills workshops by Dick’s, Orvis and L.L. Bean.

The free festival is from noon to 5 p.m., and the concert will be from 4-5 p.m. at Westchester’s Ridge Hill Center, 1 Ridge Hill Road, Yonkers.

Founded by Brooklyn-based teaching artist-songwriter Lloyd Miller — and featuring fellow New York City-area music teachers — The Deedle Deedle Dees use rock-n-roll, country, hip hop, New Orleans piano music, punk and folk music to teach kids diverse lessons about American history and the natural world. The Dees focus on inspiring subject areas kids may not have thought about before. Among the band’s favorite topics include Satchel Paige, Nellie Bly and Eleanor Roosevelt.
