Chalk Artists Can Show Their Skills In Yonkers Competition

YONKERS, N.Y. - Artists with a very particular medium - chalk - are invited to take part in the first Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival at the Cross County Center in Yonkers.

The festival will take place Saturday, Aug. 10 however, applications are due no later than July 19. Only the first 30 applicants can compete.

Prizes will be awarded in two categories - professional and amateur. Awards will be given in each category including:

  • People's Choice, $150
  • First, $200
  • Second, $100
  • Third, $75
