'Birdman,' 'Whiplash' Next Up At Yonkers' Ridge Hill Summer Film Series

YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Rooftop Films Summer Series at Ridge Hill will present free screenings of "Birdman" on Aug. 19 and "Whiplash" on Aug. 27.

Each screening will begin at sunset in the parking lot behind REI overlooking Sprain Ridge Park. Pre-film entertainment such as live music, popcorn from Whole Foods Market, beer tastings by Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, empanadas from Havana Central and an artist demonstration from Muse Paintbar. starts at 7 p.m.

Seating is limited and available on a first come first served basis, so attendees are encouraged to bring chairs.
