White Plains In For Mainly Sunny Weather for Last Weekend of Summer

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The unofficial final weekend of summer should go out with a bang, flooding Westchester with sunshine, mild temperatures and only a small chance of rain, according to accuweather.com.

The long holiday weekend will start with beach weather, but storms could roll in on Monday.

Temperatures will get close to 80 degrees on Saturday with only a few clouds. There's a small chance for scattered showers at about 40 percent.

Sunday will remain mostly sunny throughout the early parts of the day with a high of 82. There's a 49 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.

The clouds roll in on Monday, with temperatures getting into the low 80s, but a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms might keep everyone indoors on the final day of the long weekend.
