The chance of the wintry mix is higher in areas farther inland, including Northern Westchester and Putnam.
Temperatures will plummet overnight, to a low of around 20 degrees.
That will be followed by a chance of the freezing precipitation up until around noon Monday, then a chance of rain.
Monday's high temperature will be in the upper 30s, but the wind-chill factor will make it feel more like between 20 and 30.
Temperatures will then rise to around 48 degrees by about 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Rain is expected before 10 a.m. Tuesday during a day in which the high temperature soars to near 50.
