Two serious crashes caused stop-and-go delays on I-287 Friday afternoon.
The first crash, reported just before 5 p.m., was on the eastbound side at Exit 5 (Route 119) in Greenburgh.
The other crash, reported shortly after, initially blocked the left lane on the westbound side at Exit 8E (Westchester Avenue) with stop-and-go traffic backed up to Exit 10 (Route 120A/Bowman Avenue).
