The New York State Department of Transportation announced that there will be southbound right lane closures between exit 28 (Lincoln Avenue) and exit 27 (Purchase Street) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Harrison, Scarsdale and Rye Brook.

The closures are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 15 and Friday, Aug. 16. During the lane closures, motorists traveling through the area on the parkway can expect potential delays and have been advised to seek alternate routes.

NYSDOT noted that "drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

"Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license."
