A serious motor-vehicle crash with injuries created gridlock for miles Sunday afternoon on a stretch of eastbound -287 in central Westchester.
The crash, reported just before 4 p.m., occurred at Exit 5 (Route 119/100). Two lanes were initially blocked before one lane reopened after 4 p.m. and both lanes by 4:30 p.m. There was initially stopped traffic at the scene and 30-minute, stop-and-go delays to I-87.
