Trader Joe's will resume selling the limited-edition bags at stores nationwide, a company spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Voice on Monday, Mar. 24. The totes will be $2.99, coming in new pastel shades of blue, pink, purple, and green.
The spokesperson said the exact date the bags will be available will vary by store but TODAY.com reported the totes will be for sale as soon as April.
"If customers have any questions about product availability, they can ask any crew member in their neighborhood store," the spokesperson said.
The bags first took over the internet in early 2024 when they launched in navy, red, yellow, and forest green. The supermarket chain described them as ideal for "smaller shopping trips," with enough room to hold a dozen apples or a snack-filled picnic.
Demand quickly outpaced supply, leading to long lines and frenzied restocks, with resale prices climbing to $200 online. Trader Joe's said it doesn't endorse reselling any of its products.
The bags were last restocked in September 2024 and aren't a regular item.
"The totes are a limited product rather than an everyday product at this time," a spokesperson told "Today" during the last restocking.
Trader Joe's had 608 locations in 43 states on Saturday, Mar. 15, according to data company ScrapeHero.
