Pediatrician Traveling To See Eclipse ID'd As Woman Killed In Freak Trailer Accident In NY Colleagues and loved ones are mourning the loss of a beloved pediatrician and wife who was killed in a freak accident on a New York highway while they were traveling to view the total solar eclipse. Long Island resident Dr. Monika Woroniecki, age 58, of Stony Brook, died Saturday, April 6, after falling from a moving Airstream trailer on Route 12E in the Jefferson County town of Brownville, about 60 miles north of Syracuse, according to State Police. Kathy Hochul is advising travelers to arrive to their destinations early and plan on staying late.
