Longtime Educator Tapped To Lead School District In Westchester
A new superintendent has been chosen to lead a school district in Westchester, officials announced. The Elmsford Union Free School District has appointed Susan Yom as its new Superintendent of Schools, officials announced on Monday, Dec. 9. Mamaroneck Playhouse Will Reopen With Six Movie Screens
The Sound Shore's historic movie theaters are being saved one-by-one. The Mamaroneck Playhouse at 238 Mamaroneck Ave., which has been closed since 2015, is expected to reopen later this year. Blue Zees Real Estate, a New York City-based developer, bought the playhouse from Bow Tie Cinemas for $2 million this month, according to Westchester County property records.
