Local Police Department In Westchester Faces Lawsuit For Alleged Improper Strip Searches More controversy is swirling around the Mount Vernon Police Department as a former city resident alleges he was the victim of an improper strip search, and forced to have an officer check him for contraband. Former Mount Vernon resident Israel Roman filed a lawsuit against the department this week alleging that he was wrongfully arrested and forced to submit to a strip and cavity search while at police headquarters.
