Lactaid Milk Recalled In 27 States Due To Allergy Risk
A nationwide recall has been issues for a popular brand of milk due to an allergy risk. HP Hood LLC is recalling 96-ounce containers of Lactaid Milk because the product may contain trace amounts of almond, which is not listed on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products, according to an announcement by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Recall Issued For Brand Of Breaded Poultry Products
Hundreds of pounds of a fully cooked boneless chicken bite product are being recalled due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Koch Foods, based out of Fairfield, Ohio, is recalling 743 pounds of products that contain soy, milk, and eggs, which were not cleared on the label. The frozen, fully cooked breaded boneless chicken bites were labeled as fully cooked chicken strips and were produced on May 31. A national recall has been announced for more than a thousand pounds of a popular beef jerky product that may contain known allergens. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Whip City Jerky, a Westfield, Mass. company, is recalling 1,391 pounds of products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. Officials said that the jerky contains milk, which is not declared on the product label. The contaminated products were produced between Dec. 18 last year and Jan. 31.
