Westchester County Police Welcome Five New Officers
The Westchester County Police Department added to its ranks with several new recruits. Five new officers were welcomed to the roster of Westchester County Police Department this week, being sworn in on Monday by acting Commissioner Martin McGlynn. Among the recruits who were sworn in are Officers Peter Carcaterra, Jeff Hunt, Adam Mietlowski, Mill Lau and Jason Washco, who were promoted in front of a crowd of friends, family and well-wishers. Westchester Clerk Cited For Selling Alcohol To Underage Youth
A Northern Westchester gas station clerk was cited recently for selling beer to a 16-year-old who was assisting Westchester County Police with alcohol compliance checks at businesses that sell alcohol. The underage youth, under the supervision of county police, was sent into 17 stores in Cortlandt to attempt to buy a six-pack of beer. He was able to purchase beer on one occasion and was turned away at the other establishments. Latimer Names Acting Westchester Police Commissioner
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - As former Westchester County Police Commissioner George Longworth rides off into the sunset following his retirement after 35 years in law enforcement, new County Executive George Latimer has tabbed an even more experienced civil servant to bridge the gap to his replacement.
