Westchester Driver Busted With BAC Double The Legal Limit, Police Say A 38-year-old man from Westchester was busted by police in Scarsdale driving with a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit over the weekend. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department conducting a DWI, seat belt and vehicle safety checkpoint on the Heathcote Bypass at Secor Road stopped Mamaroneck Avenue resident Carlos Alvarez shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. When speaking with him at the checkpoint, the officer said that Alvarez had alcohol on his breath, and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. There were also several empty beer cans in his trunk.
