Police ID DOT Worker Fatally Struck On Hutchinson River Parkway Police have identified the 57-year-old New York City Department of Transportation worker who was fatally struck on the Hutchinson River Parkway on Wednesday morning. George Staab of Shirley in Suffolk County on Long Island was struck by a vehicle at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, officials confirmed. He was struck on the shoulder of the southbound side of the parkway near Rochelle Park, between exits 4 and 5 in the Bronx. Staab, an electrician, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, where he was pronounced dead. He had been employed by the DOT since 2014. Accord…
