This year’s 12 winners will be honored on Thursday, Jan. 29 at the 42nd annual awards banquet at the Westchester Country Club in Rye.

The 12 were selected from a field of 44 nominees.
"Without a doubt, this year our Selection Committee had to choose among the strongest group of nominees in our history," said Bob Everett, secretary and chairman of the Westchester chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame.
The typical honoree is a team captain, all-section, in the top 5 to 10 percent of his class, also captain of a winter and/or spring sport, and a difference maker in his school and the wider community.
The group has been highly recruited. Seven have already committed to Amherst, Brown, Penn, Princeton, Tufts, the Naval Academy and Yale.
At that Banquet, the chapter will be honoring its 500th Scholar Athlete since its founding in 1973.
In addition, the chapter will be honoring founding member and former Chapter President Bill Draddy and awarding the Chris Mello Scholar Athlete Award and Scholarship in memory of former "Golden Dozen" honoree Chris Mello of Rye, who was killed on September 11th.
