Golf, Lessons Half-Price At White Plains Course

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Golf lessons and greens fees are 50 percent off at Maple Moor Golf Course on Tuesday in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation.

The county will hold 50 events throughout the year to celebrate the milestone, including 50 percent discounts and food specials at five of its golf courses one day a month until September. Maple Moor, at 1128 North St., is the third to do so.

The Mohansic and Saxon Woods golf courses will offer the same deal Aug. 23 and Sept. 17, respectively. Additionally, the Mohansic Golf Course, on Baldwin Road in Yorktown, will offer a "nine and dine" deal every Monday beginning at 4 p.m. For $40, including carts and greens fees, residents can play nine holes of golf, then grab dinner at the new Mohansic Grill.

Tuesday, county residents will pay $15 and nonresidents will pay about $22 for greens fees at Maple Moor.

There are 50-plus events planned for people of all ages throughout the year. To see what's coming up, review the county's 50 Events Calendar.
