Galloway is the NBA Development League’s 14th overall call-up this season.
“This is a special moment for the Westchester Knicks organization and the NBA Development League,” said Allan Houston, general manager of the Westchester Knicks, who play home games at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. “Langston has a great attitude and has worked hard to develop his game the entire time he's been with us. I’m very excited for him. I'm sure he'll take advantage of this time, and it will be a great experience for him.”
In 19 games for the Westchester Knicks, Galloway led the team in scoring, averaging 16.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over 36.8 minutes per game. Leading the NBA D-League in steals, Galloway was averaging 2.7 per game.
After going undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft, the 6-2, 200-pound guard out of St. Joseph’s College joined the New York Knicks for the 2014 NBA Summer League.
On Tuesday, Sept. 9, he signed with the Knicks and appeared in two preseason games. Waived by New York on Friday, Oct. 24, he joined the Westchester Knicks as an affiliate player.
