Four White Plains Student Musicians to Play State Conference

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Four White Plains High School musicians have earned spots in the 2011 New York State School Music Association's (NYSSMA) All-State Conference in Rochester this December.

The White Plains students were selected among thousands after they scored as highly as possible on solos at NYSSMA tryouts.

Gary West, the coordinator of fine arts, said, "White Plains is very proud" that Shaina Brady, a violinist, Lauren Gamiel, a double bass player, Klara Gribetz, an alto singer, and Jens Sannerud, a french horn player, were selected from the district.
