Astorino and de Blasio were appearing at a rally for more transportation funding.
At an event in Brooklyn, Cuomo pointed out Astorino's stance on abortion and the ongoing Syrian refugee crisis, telling the crowd "This is not a man who I would stand next to," reported Capital New York.
When asked about Cuomo's remarks, Astorino said the governor's comments were "out of line" and that it "seems like the governor has some insecurities."
Astorino pointed out that since Cuomo is one of his Westchester constituents (as a New Castle resident), he'd be "more than happy to set him up with our Department of Community Health if he needs some help on this issue."
Appearing on an Albany radio show, Astorino compared Cuomo to a "scorpion," according to New York State of Politics, saying Cuomo was "obsessing" with him and "this guy needs some serious help."
