White Plains Man Charged With DWI In Putnam County

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A 34-year-old White Plains man was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, after police say another motorist saw him stumbling to get into his car at a gas station.

After the motorist's report, Julio Macancela was stopped on Route 52 in Putnam County on Saturday  when an officer spotted him driving down the road.

Police say Macancela took a breath test that indicated he had a blood-alcohol-content level of .11 percent.

Macancela was released to a friend and issued tickets to appear in court in Kent.
