White Plains Man Accused Of Hitting Group Home Worker

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - A White Plains man punched a female group home worker trying to break up an argument between him and another man in the building, police said.

Zaire Corwell, 26, was arrested on a charge of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He was arguing with another person who lives in the 14 Oakwod Ave. group home Sunday night when the victim intervened, police said.

She separated the two men and took Zaire outside to talk to him, which upset him, police said. He began to curse at the victim, then punched her in the lip, causing a cut and swelling, police said.

Zaire was arrested and held for court.
