The suspect, 19, also damaged the door hinge and frame to her brother’s bedroom during the altercation Friday afternoon, police said. While police tried to separate the two, she charged at the victim, 18, and threatened him, they said. She then spit at him, police said.

The victim told police he had pain, swelling and redness on his left shoulder where he was bit, but refused medical attention.

The suspect was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree menacing, all misdemeanors. She refused to give a statement to police and was held for arraignment, officials said.
