Cops: White Plains Store Worker In Sneakers Scam

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A Dick's Sporting Goods employee has been charged with making $1,959.80 worth of fraudulent transactions over the span of one month for family members, according to a police report.

DeAndre Price, 21, was arrested at his place of work on 1 Maple Ave. July 3 and was charged with grand larceny, a felony.

Store security told police that on May 20 and 26 and June 6 and 20, Price allegedly had a family member select sneakers in the store, then take them to his register, where he would void them from the register and charge for a lesser-valued item.
