Rose Marie Gorgone, 91, White Plains Resident

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains resident Rose Marie Gorgone died Wednesday, Jan. 27. She was 91.

Born in the Bronx, Gorgone loved crossword puzzles, slot machines and, most of all, cooking for her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Gary, and daughter Charlene Lolis; grandchildren Gary, Brian, Leah, Jessica, Nicolette and Francesca; great-grandchildren Cora, Colton and Natalie; and brother Gerry Russo.

Gorgone was predeceased by her husband, Jesse, and parents Peter and Lena Russo.

Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the Yannantuono Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 129 E. Birch St., Mount Vernon, with interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
