WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Paula A. Rossi of North White Plains died suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 1. She was 57.
Rossi was born Sept. 6, 1954, in Yonkers to Joseph and Camille Vicinanza Bova. She worked as a teacher for many years. Rossi loved working with children and dedicated her life to her two children and her many pets, her family said.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen A. Rossi of North White Plains; two children, Lauren and Stephen Rossi, both of North White Plains; two stepdaughters, Meredith Rossi of Los Angeles and Megan (Jason) Kettmann of San Diego; a brother, Joseph (Joyce) Bova of Suffern, N.Y.; three grandchildren; two nephews; and a niece.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
