He was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Argentina to Pergrina and Manuel Fernandez. He married Ann Rodriguez on Oct. 5, 1940, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
He worked as a maintenance manager at Water Wheel Inn in Ardsley for 25 years. He enjoyed bowling and golf into his 80s.
Survivors, in addition to his wife; are three children, Richard (Rose) Fernandez, of Gardiner, N.Y., Robert (Jane) Fernandez, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Raymond (Elizabeth) Fernandez, of Carmel, N.Y.; a sister, Lily Nunez, of Surprise, Ariz.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandchild, Jamie; and a brother, Raul Nunez.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Entombment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
