Leonard M. Anker, 92, White Plains Resident

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Leonard M. Anker, 92, of White Plains died Monday, Sept. 7. 

He was born to Max and Frances Anker in the Bronx and raised there. 

Anker served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. 

In 1949, he married Rhoda Samuels in New York City. 

He owned and operated his own real estate management firm, Anker Management in Westchester County. 

He had a passion for volunteering and helped many organizations. He was past president of the Greenburgh Hebrew Center. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rhoda; a son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Donna, and son Warren; and grandchildren Stacy, Emily and Faith. 

A funeral service was held Wednesday at Greenburgh Hebrew Center, 515 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry. 

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Greenburgh Hebrew Center.
