Joseph Viola, Jr., 81, Of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Joseph Viola, Jr., of North White Plains, died on Wednesday, May 27. He was 81.

Viola was born on Sept. 17, 1933, to Joseph and Eugenia (nee Massaro) Viola in White Plains. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired as a truck driver with Local 456 of the Tea msters Union in Elmsford.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (DeMilta) Viola, his children, Jo-Ann Parrino of Peekskill, and Michael Flynn and his wife, Gale; his two grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Flynn, and his sister Margaret Zuzolo.

Visiting hours will be at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Greenburgh.
