WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Helen Claire Longo, a former White Plains, Yonkers and Mount Vernon resident, died Sept. 4 in New Rochelle. She was 89.
The daughter of Howard Cunningham and Ellen Teresa Quinlan, Longo was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Mount Vernon. Raised in Mount Vernon, she graduated from A.B. Davis High School. She married George F. Uhrlass in June 1943 and lived in Yonkers for many years.
She later married Earl Longo and lived in White Plains. She worked at Kraft General Foods and retired in 1987.
Longo is survived by a son, Robert (Joan) Uhrlass, of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Janet (Terry) Pierce, of New York City, and Susan Uhrlass, of Venice, Calif.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
