Giuseppe Lamberti, 96, Retired City Of White Plains Employee

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Giuseppe (Joseph) Lamberti of White Plains died Oct. 15. He was 96.

Lamberti was born May 24, 1917, in San Vito Sul Ionio, Italy, to Elisabetta Lamberti (nee Casalinuovo) and Vito Lamberti. He emigrated to the United States in 1958. The family settled in White Plains. He retired from the City of White Plains in 1980. He was a cabinet and furniture maker practicing his craft both in Italy and in the U.S.

Lamberti is survived by his children, Sonia Lamberti Botos (Michael) of Mt. Laurel, N.J., Marisa Lamberti Rosiello (Rudolph) of White Plains, Nicholas Lamberti (Angela) of Putnam Valley and Joseph A. Lamberti (Christi) of New Jersey; eight grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his wife, Vienna; and all his siblings.

Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 17 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 92 South Lexington Ave., White Plains. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne.
