Gene E. Pentenero, 72, Of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Gene E. Pentenero, a longtime resident of White Plains, died on Saturday, Jan. 16. He was 72.

Pentenero was was born on July 12, 1943, to Albert and Elsie Pentenero.

He was raised in Scarsdale, attending private schools in Massachusetts and graduating from White Plains High School.

He worked for the City of White Plains Parking Authority and retired from the Westchester County Parks Department.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Gina A. Romano-Sahakian and her husband, John, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, at 491 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
