Lachowich was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Brooklyn. She worked at Lord & Taylor and was also a real estate broker in the 1960s as well as being a volunteer in the Republican Party and St. Agnes Hospital. She was involved in founding The Lapidary & Gem Society of N.Y. and a co-founder of Marava perfume.
Lachowich is survived by her son, Walter Lachowich of White Plains. She was predeceased by her husband, Vladymir.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 19 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
