The Seneca County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) does not have the capability to maintain the 24 miles of fencing that protects the white deer in the 7,000-acre facility, and is selling the depot, according to the report.
Seneca White Deer, Inc., (SWD), who so far has raised $270,000, has a goal of raising $2 million and plans to bid on the depot when the sale begins in December. The SWD says they want to turn the facility into an eco-tourism and military park, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.
