WGB-Certified represents an expansion of the highly successful Westchester Green Business Challenge, a public-private partnership launched in 2009 by Westchester County in partnership with The Business Council of Westchester to help Westchester-based organizations “go green” while saving money and improving performance.
This newest class of WGB-Certified will join the 18 organizations that participated in the program’s pilot earlier this year. To date, Diamond Properties (Mount Kisco), Reckson, a division of SL Green Realty Corp (White Plains) and The Blue Pig (Croton-on-Hudson) have achieved WGB-Certification.
