White Plains Hospital Begins Second Phase of $108 Million Transformation

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains Hospital announced the beginning of Phase II of its major transformation project.

In September, the hospital received approval from the Westchester County Local Development Corporation for $108 million in financing for the project.

The renovation is one of the largest healthcare construction projects in the region and includes new operating rooms and outpatient radiology suite, more rooms, and a new entrance and lobby.

The first phase of the multi-phase project involved building a new outpatient radiology suite and a new operating room.

In order to meet the growing health care needs of the community, key elements of the hospital’s clinical areas and services will also undergo significant expansion and upgrades.

As part of the project, the hospital is making significant enhancements to its infrastructure to ensure greater operating efficiency and energy conservation. These improvements include increasing the amount of emergency electrical generation to support today’s advanced administrative and clinical technologies, as well as adding electrical capacity to service a new wing.

White Plains Hospital is a not-for-profit health care organization with the primary mission of offering high quality, acute health care and preventive medical care to all people who live in, work in or visit Westchester County and its surrounding areas.
