WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Police said they stopped a White Plains man they saw slinging marijuana Thursday, only to find a crack-cocaine rock in his clenched right fist and a second batch in his pant pocket.
Officers said they watched Ronald Saunders, 58, deal drugs on the corner of S. Lexington Avenue and E. Post Road just before 3:30 p.m. Police stopped the customer and found a Ziploc bag of what appeared to be marijuana stuffed inside his pants pocket, according to police reports. He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
A few moments later, police said they recovered two pieces of plastic with off-white rocks of what officers believe is crack from Saunders. He was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a misdemeanor, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

- A retired White Plains man stuffed $180.06 worth of food into Stop and Shop plastic bags and left the Westchester Avenue grocery store without paying, according to police.
Pietro Arciuolo, 58, was arrested Thursday and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
