The new edict was announced in the Elanora Heights Public School's newsletter, according to new.com.au.

It's intended to assist students who are sensitive to noise while also reducing fidgeting, according to new.com.au.

Elanora Heights joins other Australia schools with unusual bans, like St. Patricks Primary School, which banned hugging in favor of high fives, according to new.com.au.
