White Plains Could See Wintry Mix Sunday

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County residents could be in for a mixed bag of precipitation heading into Sunday morning and then again later overnight into Monday.

There is a chance of rain, snow and freezing rain starting in the predawn hours Sunday and lasting until around 9 a.m. Sunday in Central and Southern Westchester. Little or no accumulation of either ice or snow is expected.

In Northern Westchester, the precipitation chance is for snow and freezing rain before 9 a.m. A mix of rain and snow is likely between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., followed by rain after 10 a.m

A changeover to all rain is then expected to occur, with Sunday's high temperature between 42 and 44 degrees.

A wintry mix could return after midnight, with rain likely, possibly mixing with snow after 2 a.m., before gradually ending.

The outlook for Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, is partly sunny with a high between 36 and 38 degrees.
